This course is designed for students/workers/staff learning English at JWSA Education Foundation -PT English Center that have the desire to own prestigious and valuable certificates worldwide issued by the Cambridge Assessment English affiliated to the University of Cambridge, UK. Our International English Certificate Exams preparation courses help students improve and develop the English language knowledge and skills.

Each Cambridge English Qualifications  focuses on a level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).[1]

Cambridge English Qualifications: Schools provide a learning framework to help children and teenagers improve their English language skills.[6]

Cambridge English Qualifications: General and higher education

These qualifications are designed for adult learners.[2]

A2 Key, B1 Preliminary and B2 First have the same exam format (e.g. number of papers, number of questions, time allowance) as the schools versions of these qualifications, but use different topics and content suited to adult learners.

Multilevel tests

Multi-level tests, such as Linguaskill, BULATS, the Cambridge English Placement Test and the Cambridge English Placement Test for Young Learners, cover multiple levels of the CEFR in one test. They are used to find out the levels of mixed-ability groups of students, and place them on the right English learning programmes or enter them for the right exams.

Cambridge Assessment English is also the producer of the IELTS test. Cambridge Exams Publishing, a joint venture with Cambridge University Press, produces Cambridge-branded IELTS resources and materials to help learners prepare and practice for their tests. IELTS is managed by an international partnership of organisations – the British Council, Cambridge Assessment English and IDP Education.[7]

Overview, Parents and students can also clearly see the characteristics of each type of certificate and equivalent levels on the CEFR framework. And Cambridge English Assessment has offered a number of degrees, certificates with equal levels to meet a diverse audience with different aspirations and career goals. All are good wishes for an developing education and preserves human knowledge for future generations.

However, with the mindset in which there is always the best choice and the most suitable for the Vietnamese economic characteristics (the income level of Vietnamese people is still limited) and the time limitation of Parents and students. In Vietnam, over the past 10 years, I have instilled the mindset of “respect the value of time” into my students’s mind. Therefore, when training International English Certificate classes, firstly, I always have to choose students from the source of students of the School Classes to get a similarity not only in terms of entry level but also is an environment that converges students who have the qualities of perseverance, hard work and persistence in the learning process. It is one of the fundamental factors to shorten the training time of an International English Certificate framework.

Second, we choose for our students the shortest and most appropriate learning path that meets both their future academic and career goals. 

Therefore, the learning path at the Center will be designed most suitable for each object based on their age, study or work needs to achieve the best results in the shortest time.

We also note that “short” here means “shorter” than the training time of a language proficiency framework, for example:

+ with frame A2, the average training time from PreA1 → A1 → A2  is about 5.5 years (with training duration of 1.5 hours/session and 3 sessions/week => average 4.5 hours/week

+ or as a high school student, it takes 9 years of study with the 9th grade English exam program equivalent to A2 frame.

At our educational institution, the training period takes only 3.5 years (with 2 hours/session and 2 sessions/week => 4 hours/week)

And with the learning path from frame PreA1 (Starters) → A1 (Movers) → A2 (KET) (normally, students of the Center will get frame B1 (PET) when passing with a score out of frame in the A2 (KET) examination. Thus, when they are trained firmly and thoroughly, they will shorten an additional 2.5-3 years with the learning path to get the B1 framework (PET) – which is currently the output requirement non-language majors in most colleges and universities in Vietnam.

Thus, with a correct learning path along with the proper and dedicated teaching method, students can be shortened 7-8 years of study when there are Center’s students who are only in Grade 7 (12 yers old) who have passed the exam at level A2 and grade 9 (14 years old) was able to get PET (B1).
